Forged Bloodlines fan fiction contest

AnjaSquare

Have you ever wanted to take the world of Forged Bloodlines out for a spin? Write yourself in there as an original character? Kill off characters you hate? Decide who Anja belongs with once and for all? Now’s your chance! I’m holding a fan fiction contest for the Forged Bloodlines series. I would like to offer prizes in multiple categories (such as most romantic, best action, snappiest dialogue, most true to character, steamiest…), but we’ll see how many entries we get. There is no minimum length and any rating is accepted.

What do you get if you win? A signed copy of Release Me When the Sun Goes Down (or you can substitute one of my others if you prefer), a $10 Amazon gift card and your choice of some Forged Bloodlines swag that’s currently only available to my Streetbots team. Anyone who enters must give me permission to post the winning entries on my blog, but I will give you full credit. It’d be extra awesome if you decide to post it on fanfiction.net or mibba or one of the other fan fiction hubs.

This contest will run through April 30th, so you’ve got time to put something together be it a one-shot or a multi-chapter epic saga. You can set your story at any point in the Forged Bloodlines timeline, even in the future or the past and use any characters as you will. To enter, contact me through the website or through facebook pm and we’ll chat about how to submit.

What do you guys think? Is that deadline doable? I’m flexible here, so sing out if you have any questions.

Who would you choose?

As I get closer to releasing Follow Me When the Sun Goes Down, I thought I’d put out a poll for y’all to vote on who you think Anja belongs with. You can vote for more than one person, I believe.

Forged Bloodlines 1-3 now available as a boxed set

bloodlines

My Forged Bloodlines series books 1-3 are now available as a boxed set for your kindle. Easy to navigate between books from the table of contents, this set contains Wake Me When the Sun Goes Down, Meet Me When the Sun Goes Down and Find Me When the Sun Goes down, Anja’s notes on all the vampire Houses and a preview of Miss Me When the Sun Goes Down. It can be found here on Amazon.com for $9.99.

In other news, we’re getting close to releasing book 5 in the series, Follow Me When the Sun Goes Down and I’m starting to plan the next Mercy Book. I’m also working on an audio version of The Touch and designing a new cover for it, so keeping plenty busy!

Psst – Wake Me When the Sun Goes Down is also free today on Kindle.

I’m Back!

Hi guys! I’m happy to say the move is done (they’re taking away the last POD today) and I’m semi-settled into my new office. Sure, there are still boxes everywhere and I have to do laundry every three days, but the important thing is I’m back to writing on the next book.

So far I’m about 36,000 words into it, and all I can say is, Anja’s life is sort of spinning out of control right about now. Hopefully she’ll learn to swim before the sharks start to circle!

In semi-related news, I’m giving away free copies of Wake Me When the Sun Goes Down on Amazon for today and tomorrow. So, if you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, now you can pick it up for free. And if you enjoyed it, please tell a friend.

Off for a quick bite to eat and then it’s back to Anja and company. I think it’s just about time for Jakob to stick his nose into her business again.

Soon to come
- dream casting for The Company of Shadows
- an excerpt from Miss Me When the Sun Goes Down
- possibly a character interview… who would you guys like to hear from?

Meet Me When the Sun Goes Down is available online!

The next book in my Forged Bloodlines vampire series, Meet Me When the Sun Goes Down is now available for sale on Amazon.comand BarnesAndNoble.com! It’s out as an e-book for $3.99 but you don’t have to have a Kindle or Nook to read it, they have free downloadable apps so you can read it on your PC, or even your phone. It’ll be available in print as well in a couple of weeks through Amazon.

“Do you ever wish you could take something back the instant you say it? One moment Bishop and I were kissing under the moonlight, and then I had to go and open my big fat mouth.”

The bodycount rises in the next chapter of Anja’s afterlife and not in a good way. Anja finds herself attracting a lot of attention from the police and the vampire community alike, and now she’s got a stalker making her life difficult at every turn. At her side is darkly intense Bishop, but how long will their happiness last once her absent Sire reappears? To complicate things, it’s getting increasingly difficult to keep up the façade of humanity among her family and friends, and her school keeps expecting her to go to classes… What’s a vampire to do when ice cream therapy proves ineffective?

Torn between the man she loves and the primal lure she feels towards Jakob, Anja must fight for what she wants… just as soon as she figures out what that is.

I’m taking a little bit of a break before starting my next in The Fallen series, Child of Mercy. I wasn’t supposed to start on it until after the new year, but I’m so excited for what I have in store for Mercy, I just can’t wait!

Endings and Beginnings

I was going to post about finishing Nine Steps to Sara when it struck me, it’s not really an ending; it’s a beginning. Sure, I’m done laboring over it, but it’s really the beginning of the book’s life now that it’ll be available for public consumption in the next few days. Huh.

Okay, wasn’t meaning to get all philosophical on you guys, really just reporting that I’m days away from publishing Nine Steps to Sara and starting in on the sequel to Wake Me, Meet Me When the Sun Goes Down. I’ve pretty much got the plot all laid out and I can’t wait to get started!!! I had a lot of fun re-reading Wake Me and getting back into Anja’s head. :)

I couldn’t resist getting in a little fanfiction oneshot in there before I get started on the new book though, so I posted a Vampire Diaries Delena fic Hate to Love You. Holy crap I missed writing for those guys! It’s so tempting not to take them on another epic adventure, but I’m trying to stick to my timetable and still get another two books written this year.
